What Is Moling?
Moling is a trenchless method of installing underground pipes with minimal surface disruption. Instead of digging long trenches, a compact pneumatic machine, known as a mole, burrows through the soil from one small access pit to another. Once the channel has been created, the new water pipe can be pulled through without disturbing large areas of ground.
This method is ideal for:
- Replacing old, damaged or leaking water supply pipes
- Upgrading lead or steel pipework to modern MDPE pipework
